Hydrobath

The hydrobath uses pressurized warm water and shampoo to clean the dog’s coat thoroughly. The shower head provides a deep clean and a stimulating massage, reducing the “Wet Dog Smell” often associated with other bathing methods. The water is collected, filtered, and heated if needed, then recycled through the shower head.

Hydrobath – includes:

  • a thorough inspection of your dog
  • shampoo and conditioner
  • chamois, towel and blow dry
  • spray shine
  • cologne
  • and doggy treat.

If customers would prefer to use their own shampoo and/or conditioner then that can be arranged prior to commencement of the service at no extra cost.

Nails clipped and ear cleaning are optional and at no extra cost.

Colognes may include: Hot Chocolate, Strawberry Bomb, Vanilla Spin, Candy Cane, Coconut Ice and Pink Musk. Please discuss with the groomer your preferences prior to the service commencing.

Benefits Of Hydrobaths

  • Uses warm, high-pressure shower head that allows for complete penetration of the dog’s coat (even dogs with long, thick coats)
  • Keeps the dog’s coat and skin clean and healthy
  • Removes dead hair, skin and other materials that can lead to bacteria build up over time, resulting in skin problems (important part of treating common problems such as fleas)
  • The shower head provides a therapeutic massage which helps blood circulation.
  • Great for older dogs with arthritis, poor blood circulation or recovering from certain muscle injuries (always check with your vet)

Frequency:

This will depend on your dog.

Indoor / smelly breeds (mainly hound breeds, eg. Beagles):  2-4 weeks

Outdoor dogs:  4 weeks

As vet recommended (if the dog is on specific medicated shampoo)

For people who wash their own dogs, it is a great idea to have a hydrobath at least every 3 months to help remove the dead hair and skin build up.
